Requirements
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing and administering the Atlassian suite, including Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
  • Proven experience integrating Atlassian tools with third-party applications.
  • Strong expertise in automation within the Atlassian ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding of project management and service management best practices.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Atlassian tools, including Jira Data Center, Jira Service Management, and Confluence Data Center.
  • Establish baseline and ongoing operational and value metrics for Atlassian tools, including team usage and adoption, workflow and service-process effectiveness, and overall value delivered to JerseySTEM.
  • Analyze and report on how Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence are used across the organization to help leadership understand current-state usage and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project, service, and documentation needs.
  • Configure, customize, and optimize Jira projects, workflows, dashboards, reports, and permissions.
  • Implement and manage automations to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Integrate Atlassian tools with third-party applications, such as collaboration, reporting, and customer relationship management tools.
  • Support and enhance Jira Service Management processes, including request types, queues, service-level agreements, and automations.
  • Provide guidance, best practices, and light training to users as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility, collaboration, and operational efficiency through Atlassian tooling.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with migrations from Atlassian to other platforms, or from other platforms to Atlassian.
  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud.
  • Atlassian certifications.
  • Experience supporting nonprofit or pro-bono membership-based organizations.
  • Familiarity with marketplace apps, application programming interfaces, or advanced integrations.
