- Deter criminal activity, protect property, and enforce property rules.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms or patrol areas and conduct security checks, depending on the assigned position.
- Protect equipment and workers in factories and offices, and check the credentials of vehicles and individuals entering and leaving the premises.
- As a rover, conduct foot or vehicle patrols, detect suspicious behavior, and prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity.
- At the gatehouse, greet residents and guests, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, and control property access.
- At the front desk, greet guests, provide customer service, control access, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, and distribute packages.
- Previous experience in security or customer service is desirable; security experience is not required.
- State training and licensing assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
