The company manufactures pressure sensors, switches, torque sensors, and encoders for industrial equipment markets, holding a top global share in the polygon mirror market. Nidec concluded that transferring the subsidiary to Carlyle would enhance corporate value whilst allowing Nidec to focus resources on priority growth areas.
