Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in information security, primarily in incident response, security engineering, or product/application security.
  • Direct experience serving as incident commander for product-focused security incidents.
  • Experience leading or actively building an application or security engineering program, with a clear perspective on securing artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
  • Experience with threat modeling and security testing across artificial intelligence attack surfaces, including prompt injection, indirect injection, model inversion, embedding extraction, and supply chain attacks on artificial intelligence dependencies.
  • Familiarity with the data governance and security challenges introduced by large language models, retrieval-augmented generation architectures, and agentic systems.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native environments including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, plus the threat landscape specific to software-as-a-service and artificial intelligence platforms.
  • Proficiency with Structured Query Language and experience building automation and tools with common programming languages.
  • Ability to translate security risk into actionable guidance for product teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Lead incident response for product-level security events, focusing on artificial intelligence-specific threat vectors including prompt injection, model abuse, agent hijacking, and data exfiltration through artificial intelligence workloads.
  • Integrate incident response into artificial intelligence product pipelines by working directly with teams shipping Cortex features, Snowflake Intelligence, and artificial intelligence-powered developer experiences to embed security requirements from design through deployment.
  • Develop and codify an artificial intelligence abuse response strategy by defining detection, containment, and remediation playbooks for large language model misuse, adversarial inputs, and artificial intelligence-assisted attacks targeting customers.
  • Address technical debt across the artificial intelligence product stack and ensure that new Cortex and agentic architectures meet incident response readiness requirements.
  • Represent the incident response team to cloud engineering, artificial intelligence platform teams, corporate security, and customer-facing business units.
  • Secure modern artificial intelligence-native codebases operating across multi-cloud environments, including container-based inference services, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, vector stores, and agent orchestration layers.
  • Provide expert guidance on secure architecture for high-impact artificial intelligence features and customer-facing artificial intelligence capabilities.
  • Design and manage response capabilities built into Snowflake's artificial intelligence operational infrastructure, from model-serving endpoints to Cortex Search indexes and Snowpark machine learning pipelines.
  • Build tooling that accelerates detection and response for product security incidents at Snowflake scale.
  • Drive security outcomes for customers and enterprises using Snowflake's data and artificial intelligence workloads.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience securing artificial intelligence and machine learning infrastructure, including model serving, vector databases, embedding pipelines, application programming interface gateways, and large language model-integrated application architectures.
  • Experience building agentic incident response capabilities, including skills, agents, and pipelines.
  • Understanding of current attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures, including adversarial machine learning, agent manipulation, and large language model jailbreaking in enterprise contexts.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery and secure release lifecycle patterns, with an emphasis on building security into artificial intelligence feature pipelines.
  • Preferred certifications include GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst, GIAC Certified Incident Handler, GIAC Cloud Security Automation, GIAC Defending Advanced Threats, Certified Information Systems Security Professional or GIAC Information Security Professional, or cloud certifications for Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Snowflake provides a cloud-based data platform called the Snowflake Data Cloud that lets customers store, process, and analyze large amounts of data. It operates on a pay-per-use model, charging for data stored and for computing power used. The platform is designed to be easy to use and handles many data types, supporting use cases from data warehousing and data lakes to data engineering, data science, and data applications. Snowflake differentiates itself with a cloud-native architecture that separates storage and compute, enabling on-demand scaling for diverse workloads across organizations, from startups to large enterprises. The company’s goal is to offer a scalable, flexible, and accessible data platform that unifies storage, processing, and analytics in one service.
