About the company

Fluxergy creates a portable diagnostic platform that lets healthcare providers, veterinarians (including equine), and food-safety teams run multiple diagnostic tests on a single device, delivering rapid results at point-of-care. The system combines the device with disposable test kits to perform various tests, from molecular assays like COVID-19 to other health and safety checks, and is designed for fast, on-site decision-making. Fluxergy differentiates itself by offering industry-specific applications and a scalable, end-to-end solution (device plus kits) that targets diverse PoC settings, backed by partnerships and validated through collaborations with institutions such as Mass General Brigham. The company aims to expand production and adoption to set new benchmarks in how quickly and reliably laboratory testing can be done in real-world environments.

What believers are saying

  • NIH collaboration advanced in January 2025, with clinical trials targeted for 2025.
  • Fluxergy reported over 100,000 test cartridges manufactured by July 2026.
  • The Irvine expansion and new assay launches support broader European and veterinary sales.

What critics are saying

  • Headcount fell from 125 in 2023 to 82 in March 2026, signaling contraction.
  • Fluxergy still lacks FDA EUA for its core platform, limiting U.S. revenue conversion.
  • If NIH-backed STI trials slip past 2026, the company risks another commercialization stall.

What makes Fluxergy unique

  • Fluxergy's all-in-one analyzer compresses PCR, point-of-care, and sample prep into one platform.
  • NIH NIAID selected Fluxergy in 2024 for Diagnostics Development Services, signaling technical credibility.
  • Its veterinary and human infectious-disease menus create cross-market reuse across labs and clinics.
