- At least 1 year of pre-operative/post-operative or critical care Registered Nurse experience is required.
- A current New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
- A current New Jersey Basic Life Support certification is required.
- A current New Jersey Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- The role requires critical thinking related to patient safety, effectiveness, and cost in care delivery.
- The role requires expanded problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.
- The employee must work eight-hour shifts with flexible start times.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated time frame.
- Supervise and provide patient care as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team using the nursing process and therapeutic use of self.
- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Communicate with internal customers and supervisors.
- Provide customer service while interfacing with staff, management, and physicians.
- Participate in cross-training in other specialty areas.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement projects.
- Coordinate with the Clinical Director to plan or change courses of action for improved continuity of care and patient outcomes.
- Use resources effectively in delivering care.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Two years of pre-operative/post-operative or critical care Registered Nurse experience is preferred.
