Requirements
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 pounds without restrictions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to constantly reach with the hands and arms and occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gardena Police Department or City-issued Casino Work Permit.
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English.
- Ability to maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with casino appearance standards.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of the entire casino property, including hallways, employee lounges, the casino floor, executive offices, parking lots, and other work areas.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards across the entire casino property.
- Carry out spot cleaning and address spillages swiftly and efficiently.
- Ensure the casino is safe and tidy at all times.
- Perform specialist cleaning of surfaces and furnishings.
- Clean glass, brass, wood, and other materials throughout the casino, including all glass doors at the entrance.
- Vacuum carpeting.
- Shampoo carpeting as needed.
- Clean and maintain cleanliness in all offices.
- Empty all trash bins.
- Clean and stock all casino property restrooms.
- Clean employee lounges.
- Adhere to all state and Health Department rules and regulations.
- Adhere to company safety and Injury and Illness Prevention policies.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
Desired Qualifications
- Six months of previous experience.
