ARCO Architecture Company is the largest Finnish architectural firm, created in 2021 by merging three established practices and later expanding with additional firms. It provides a full range of architectural and development services, serving as a single point of contact for complex projects in residential, commercial, and large public facilities like hospitals and universities. The firm uses digital design tools such as BIM, VR, simulations, and digital twins to guide design and sustainable construction from zoning to interior and landscape design. Its goal is to be a leading all-in-one partner for complex Finnish projects, delivering coordinated built environments across Helsinki, Tampere, Turku and Oulu.

What believers are saying

  • ARCO won Jyväskylä's Kukkula area competition on 26 June 2025.
  • Nrep's Herttoniemi project topped €100 million and includes 425 homes, 108 care homes.
  • ARCO's Tampere Psychiatric Hospital earned 2025 international recognition, strengthening healthcare pipeline.

What critics are saying

  • Public-project dependence exposes ARCO to county budget cuts and delayed hospital procurements.
  • Competitors like C.F. Møller beat ARCO into co-branded award headlines and healthcare visibility.
  • One failed merger integration or partner departure would fracture Finland's largest architecture platform.

What makes ARCO unique

  • 2021 merger made ARCO Finland's largest architecture firm, with 190 specialists.
  • ARCO integrates BIM, VR, and digital twins across design, zoning, and supervision.
