  • At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
  • At least one year of utilization management experience.
  • Ability to acquire new skills and competencies as systems, software, and hardware requirements evolve.
  • Ability to supply and support personal internet service and maintain an uninterrupted internet connection for work from home.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments of medical services to validate appropriateness using established criteria and guidelines, including Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Milliman Care Guidelines, InterQual, or health plan-specific guidelines and criteria.
  • Examine and evaluate patient records to verify the quality of patient care and necessity of provided services.
  • Provide clinical expertise and serve as a clinical reference for non-clinical staff members.
  • Input and manage essential clinical details within medical management platforms.
  • Stay current with regulatory prerequisites such as URAC and state utilization review standards.
  • Apply clinical reasoning to select suitable evidence-based guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with management teams, physicians, and the Medical Director to promote efficient, high-quality patient care.
  • Work at least one weekend per month, one major holiday, and one minor holiday per year as part of the PRN program.
  • Maintain the mandated minimum number of monthly shifts to retain quality-assurance skills and process familiarity.
  • Provide oversight to the work of team members when needed.
  • Improve processes to facilitate better turnaround time, peer-to-peer success rates, and fewer client-returned reports requiring clarification.
  • Provide final approval on cases released to the client.
  • Act as a liaison and coordinate quality issue reports and new reviewer reports with the Vice President of Clinical Operations.
  • Perform duties requiring prolonged sitting and computer work.

Quad-C invests in Dane Street to expand medical examination services platform

Quad-C Management has invested in Dane Street, a national provider of Independent Medical Examination and Peer Review services serving over 300 clients in the insurance and healthcare sectors. Financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2008 and based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Dane Street provides medical evaluation and review services to Workers' Compensation, Auto, Disability and Group Health insurance markets. Its clients include major insurance carriers, third-party administrators, health plans and law firms. The existing management team, led by CEO Greg Powers, will remain in place. Founder Will Fulton will join the board of directors and retain a significant shareholding. The partnership will enable Dane Street to accelerate growth through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. Quad-C, founded in 1989, has invested $4.7 billion across 88 platform companies.
