Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A Wyoming and/or South Dakota Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
  • At least 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including significant project management responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects from planning through completion.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities aligned with firm capabilities and strategic objectives.
  • Lead or support proposal development, including scope definition, schedules, and fee estimates.
  • Represent JEO in client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations to develop firm recognition.
  • Collaborate with technical departments to support market growth and service expansion efforts.
  • Serve as Project Manager for assigned projects, responsible for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical oversight and sound engineering judgment throughout the project delivery process.
  • Coordinate with internal staff, subconsultants, and stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently and profitably.
  • Monitor project financial performance and proactively manage risks, changes, and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the firm to leverage expertise and resources.
  • Mentor and support engineering staff, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.

  • Experience serving a variety of client types, including municipal, Department of Transportation, and private clients.
  • Experience contributing to business development, market growth, or service expansion efforts.
  • Comfort working in a flexible, growth-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Technical background in transportation, water resources, water and wastewater, land development, site development, or related fields.
