  • Participates in developing and implementing hotel business strategies aligned with the brand’s mission, vision, values, and strategies.
  • Develops and implements food and beverage operations, marketing, and sales strategies to support hotel goals.
  • Monitors business performance and adjusts strategies as appropriate.
  • Develops annual budget recommendations with the executive team and implements the approved budget.
  • Analyzes sales, competition, market trends, and costs to develop strategies that increase market share and revenue.
  • Develops and implements food and beverage marketing and sales plans.
  • Develops menu offerings and pricing based on competition, market trends, and costs.
  • Develops and implements operating procedures and standards for food and beverage operations.
  • Analyzes business results and takes corrective action to improve performance.
  • Determines staffing levels based on forecasted business and schedules employees accordingly.
  • Monitors revenues, costs, payroll, forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, and expense-control systems.
  • Evaluates food and beverage service quality and implements improvement strategies.
  • Sets objectives for food and beverage departments and supervises department managers.
  • Ensures compliance with brand health, hygiene, and safety policies.
  • Recruits and selects qualified candidates.
  • Provides employee orientation and training.
  • Communicates performance expectations and provides ongoing feedback, coaching, and counseling.
  • Ensures employees deliver the brand’s service standards, hospitality, and teamwork.
  • Improves the customer experience using customer feedback, management reports, and service strategies.
  • Forecasts expected covers based on occupancy forecasts to determine staffing levels.
  • Approves timesheets and monitors roster adherence and workforce efficiency.
  • Monitors food and beverage ordering, pricing, receiving, inventory, and minibar procedures.
  • Supervises food and beverage inventories and beverage par levels.
  • Manages and guides Food and Beverage Supervisors in the daily operation of their areas.
  • Ensures outlets are clean and ready for customers.
  • Inspects food seasoning, portions, and presentation to maintain product consistency.
  • Prepares and updates customer-oriented menus based on local and national trends.
  • Monitors competitor pricing and conducts inspections of competitor food and beverage sites.
  • Reviews products and conducts taste panels for recipe development and product testing.
  • Conducts employee meetings and counseling sessions.
  • Determines, communicates, and monitors performance standards.
  • Applies respectful discipline when required.
  • Maintains safe working conditions and takes corrective action to improve workplace safety.
  • Keeps the General Manager informed of significant problems or unusual matters.
  • Represents the hotel favorably to the public.
  • Develops strategies to achieve customer-return and guest-satisfaction goals.
  • Supervises examination of food and beverage invoices against purchase orders and par levels.
  • Maintains daily food and beverage cost percentages.
  • Prepares monthly and other management reports.
  • Assists with preparation of the food and beverage budget.
  • Monitors actual versus budgeted expenses and takes corrective action.
  • Controls departmental payroll costs.
  • Determines menu specifications and pricing.
  • Develops and implements strategies to increase revenue and control costs.
  • Recommends items for inclusion in the capital budget.
