Requirements
  • Prior experience in licensing and/or credentialing in a mental health care services organization with >100 providers
  • Prior experience with licensing and/or credentialing in >10 states
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Cartwheel’s providers and other internal stakeholders as well as external parties such as state licensing departments and health plans.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • A passion for supporting the mental health of students including those from diverse communities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and desire to join an early-stage, rapidly-growing organization.
Responsibilities
  • Research licensure requirements by state and license type
  • Complete new license application requests and conduct all follow up, in close partnership with our providers
  • Obtain DEA licenses and support collaborative agreements for Cartwheel’s psychiatric providers
  • Maintain accurate database information in systems such as Verifiable, CAQH and the Cartwheel portal
  • Monitor provider licensure status and ensure we stay current on all requirements
  • Complete credentialing applications
  • Support payer enrollment and contracting as necessary

Cartwheel Care partners with K-12 schools to provide rapid, virtual mental health care for students. A team of licensed clinicians delivers individual therapy, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and parent guidance through school-based telehealth, aiming to shorten wait times. Services are accessed as in-network with health insurance plans via partner districts, creating a direct referral and collaborative care pathway. The goal is to expand access to timely, comprehensive student mental health by embedding services in schools and scaling through district partnerships.
