About the job
- Technical degree: 10–12 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts, 8–10 years with a Master of Science or Master of Arts, or 5–7 years with a PhD.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph.

- Develop acquisition strategies and acquisition documentation with government technical and contracts staff, enabling program development and implementation.
- Facilitate new prototype acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation, award, and execution for Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity task orders and Broad Agency Announcements, as well as potential Other Transaction Agreements and Commercial Solutions Openings.
- Draft common acquisition artifacts such as statements of work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, in-scope determinations, and proposal evaluation criteria.
- Assist the government customer in monitoring and managing program financial execution and planning.
- Collaborate with other program offices on the transition of prototype software to baseline programs for long-term operations and maintenance support.
- Deliver acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluations of proposals.
- Document technical and programmatic requirements in coordination with technical staff.
- Track technical progress, identify blockers to progress, and assess technical solutions with government developer teams.
- Integrate Scaled Agile Framework program development processes and activities.
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certification in Program Management.
- Project Management Professional certification.

Arcfield's subsidiary Orion Space Solutions will provide upgraded payloads for Tomorrow.io's DeepSky weather satellite constellation. Orion will supply its Spectre electro-optical infrared payload and T3 radio frequency sensor suite for the early warning constellation announced in January. The Spectre payload is a compact, multi-spectral imaging sensor for high-resolution weather and environmental monitoring. The T3 suite uses Global Navigation Satellite System Radio Occultation and reflectometry technologies for atmospheric observation. Orion received a contract to manufacture the first batch of Spectre payloads, which upgrade from an 8-channel to a broader detection design. The company has secured over $60 million in multi-year awards for this work, with total potential contract value exceeding $100 million. The payloads will support applications including weather forecasting, maritime safety, agricultural planning and disaster response.

The Chantilly, Virginia-headquartered company said Tuesday the Navy awarded a potential five-year contract to Rite-Solutions, a federal cybersecurity and IT services provider that Arcfield acquired in December 2025. What will Arcfield provide Under the Navy's CCS contract? Under the contract, Arcfield will deliver a range of technical services, including hardware and software development, systems integration and testing, cybersecurity, and advanced model-based systems engineering at NUWC facilities in Newport, Rhode Island, and at Arcfield's office in Middletown, Rhode Island. The CCS program supports new construction and in-service submarine combat control systems, including the AN/BYG-1. The company is also supporting the Navy's Trident II D5 Life Extension strategic weapon system, or D5LE SWS, program under a $117 million follow-on contract awarded in April. Work on the contract includes digital and systems engineering, independent scientific analysis, and operational support. What capabilities does Arcfield offer customers? The contracts have a total potential value exceeding $100 million as batch deliveries are completed. The payloads will enable unprecedented space-based environmental monitoring capabilities, drawing on Orion's decades of experience in sensor technology. Orion will leverage its heritage in advanced sensor development to support next-generation satellite systems and space-based intelligence. Arcfield acquires Rite-Solutions, A navy-focused software and IT development firm. Government technology and mission support provider Arcfield on Tuesday announced it completed the acquisition of the Rhode Island-based Rite-Solutions, which will expand its naval systems expertise. The companies were unwilling to disclose terms of the deal since both companies are privately held. In a statement, Arcfield said this will expand its expertise and national security capabilities, with Rite-Solutions having a specialty in undersea warfare and naval systems that "will perfectly complement Arcfield's existing nuclear surety and missile engineering capabilities."
