Finance Associate
About the job
- Degree-level education or equivalent in a Finance-related discipline.
- Three to five years of industry experience.
- Good knowledge and experience of accounting and bookkeeping, with exposure to UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with overseas colleagues, customers, and vendors.
- Process invoices in accordance with Delegation of Authority procedures.
- Review employee expenses, process reimbursements, and manage employee credit cards.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Process bank transactions, including domestic, multicurrency, and international payments.
- Prepare monthly expense accruals, analyze expenses, and report on them.
- Prepare monthly expense journals and manage petty cash.
- Prepare quarterly Value Added Tax returns and Intrastat reports.
- Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs and internal and external auditors.
- Interact regularly with customers to maintain focus on receivables.
- Liaise with internal colleagues across different functions within the organization.
- Work in accordance with standard operating procedures and financial standards.
- Prioritize and manage a multifaceted work stream.
- Experience with SAP.
