Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy is required.
  • At least 1,500 hours of pharmacy practice experience is required.
  • Two years of full-time-equivalent experience working in pharmacy services within a health system or with medication-use technology used in a health system is required.
  • Ability to work independently and in complex collaborative team environments is required.
  • Licensure in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy is required.
  • Completion of general and patient-care orientation is required before providing patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
  • Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
  • Improve the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year or more of experience working with the health system's current medication-technology system is preferred.
  • Annual membership in the Oklahoma Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is strongly encouraged.
