Requirements
  • At least 8–10 years of experience in IFS ERP consulting, with deep IFS Applications or IFS Cloud expertise in the Aerospace & Defense sector.
  • Strong hands-on functional knowledge of IFS modules, including Manufacturing, MRO/Work Order Management, Finance and Controlling, Supply Chain and Procurement, and Projects.
  • Working knowledge of Aerospace & Defense processes including MRO work order lifecycle, aircraft maintenance planning, component repair, rotable and serialized part tracking, fleet sustainment, manufacturing execution, BOM and routing management, shop floor control, quality management, and specialized supply chain requirements.
  • Experience with fit-gap analysis, solution design, functional configuration, workflows, business rules, document management, approval hierarchies, data migration, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements such as AS9100, FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and airworthiness directives.
  • Ability to understand client requirements through structured discovery, process analysis, and gap assessment and translate business needs into ERP solution designs.
  • Strong project management and structured delivery skills, including managing scope, timelines, quality, and stakeholder expectations across complex programs.
  • Ability to coordinate with developers and integration architects to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to facilitate client workshops, present solution demonstrations and prototypes, and engage business and IT stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop thought leadership content, practice accelerators, and reusable assets for IFS services in Aerospace & Defense.
Responsibilities
  • Lead functional configuration and solution design across IFS modules.
  • Conduct fit-gap analyses, document delta requirements, and propose workarounds or customizations.
  • Design and configure IFS workflows, business rules, document management, and approval hierarchies.
  • Support data migration strategy and execution for master and transactional data.
  • Lead or co-lead IFS implementation workstreams through blueprinting, solution design, build, system and user acceptance testing, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Prepare and own Business Process Documents, Functional Design Documents, test scripts, training materials, and cutover plans.
  • Manage workstream delivery timelines, open issues, and escalations in coordination with the project manager.
  • Support migrations from legacy ERP systems to IFS Cloud or IFS Applications 10.
  • Conduct current-state assessments of customizations, integrations, and data structures requiring remediation during upgrades.
  • Advise on IFS Cloud capabilities, including People, FSM, and EAM, for Aerospace & Defense use cases.
  • Identify opportunities to decommission legacy point solutions using native IFS functionality.
  • Facilitate client-facing requirements, solution walkthrough, and design-signoff workshops.
  • Build relationships with client functional leads and maintain alignment at project milestones.
  • Prepare and present solution demonstrations, prototype walkthroughs, and executive status updates.
Desired Qualifications
  • Exposure to Aerospace & Defense-specific regulations such as AS9100, FAR/DFARS, and ITAR.
  • Exposure to AI and machine learning use cases integrated with IFS, including predictive maintenance, parts demand forecasting, and work order prioritization.
  • Familiarity with IFS Aurena and IFS Analytics for operational reporting and dashboard configuration.
  • Awareness of Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities for ERP workflows.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
