HGV Driver
About the job
- A UK Class 1 driving licence is required.
- Must be a safe, professional driver with a good attitude.
- Must be comfortable working away from home.
- Must be customer-focused and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be willing to do hands-on work outside the cab.
- Must ensure on-site risk assessments and site surveys are conducted and all records are submitted promptly and accurately.
- Must be able to travel throughout the UK.
- Must be physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Working overseas may involve short-term trips of up to 31 days, with extensions depending on business needs.
- Drive rigid vehicles, Side Loader and Class 1 HGVs to sites across the UK.
- Position and set up mobile medical units.
- Support on-site operations and pack down units at the end of deployments.
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and minor maintenance.
- Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and road-ready.
- Complete driver paperwork and comply with Drivers’ Hours and WTD requirements.
- Conduct site surveys for potential unit builds.
- Prepare units in the yard between deployments.
