  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 5 years of fire sprinkler service experience is required, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
  • A state-issued fire sprinkler license is required if applicable.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 25 and related fire protection standards is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, piping layouts, and technical specifications is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service management software is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces is required.
  • Ability to work in active construction sites, industrial facilities, and occupied buildings is required.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and occasionally work overtime is required.
Responsibilities
  • Direct, schedule, and oversee the daily activities of fire sprinkler service technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance and assist with troubleshooting complex field issues.
  • Conduct jobsite visits, quality checks, and performance evaluations.
  • Mentor and train technicians to improve skills, safety awareness, and productivity.
  • Assign service work orders, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate emergency service coverage and on-call rotations.
  • Review service reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure required tools, equipment, and materials are available for field operations.
  • Ensure work meets NFPA 25, other applicable standards, local codes, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, deficiencies, and repair work.
  • Promote adherence to OSHA safety requirements and company safety protocols.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns or technical issues.
  • Communicate inspection results, service recommendations, and repair needs to customers.
  • Partner with sales or estimating teams to develop proposals for repairs or system upgrades.
  • Maintain technician schedules, timekeeping records, and project tracking reports.
  • Monitor completion rates, call-backs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide management with regular updates on service department performance.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • NICET Level II or higher in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems is preferred.
  • OSHA 30 or an equivalent safety certification is desirable.
