Requirements
  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or equivalent.
  • Good computer and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a clear understanding of credit union products and services to discuss members’ financial needs and cross-sell appropriate solutions.
  • Perform teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments including Visa payments, cashier’s checks, and wire transfers.
  • Apply procedures to open and close accounts of all share types and become familiar with individual retirement account rules and regulations.
  • Become cross-trained in vault management.
  • Listen to members’ needs and offer appropriate credit union loan and deposit products to address financial challenges or achieve financial goals.
  • Refer issues beyond the role’s authority to a supervisor with recommendations.
  • Make decisions aligned with the credit union’s core values while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Develop working knowledge of the credit union’s history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, policies, procedures, and appropriate software systems.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
