Accounting and payroll experience in a multi-client environment with United States-based clients.

At least two years of experience in accounting and reporting for private equity- and/or venture capital-funded portfolio companies.

Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day accounting and finance operations for Enterprise-division clients, working with more senior staff.
Perform transaction entry, invoicing, bill payments, payroll preparation, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Organize and manage daily tasks in Karbon, the practice management system, across multiple clients.
Interact with clients to answer specific questions and request needed information.
Ask team members for clarification when work requirements are unclear within client books or other client systems.

So what are we looking for in an ideal candidate?
Accounting and payroll experience in a multi-client environment with US-based clients. College degree required. CPA/CAS firm experience is a strong plus.
A proficiency in cloud accounting technologies with at least 2 years running payroll, paying bills, and handling all day-to-day transactional duties with US-based clients in multiple industries (3+ years in NetSuite, SAGE, Intaact, QBO, Bill.com, Advanced Excel, Gusto or other payroll software, etc.)
Advanced analytical skills to interpret large data into meaningful interpretation of financial reports.
At least 2 years of experience in accounting and reporting for PE and/or VC funded portfolio companies.
Experience in managing audits for clients is a strong plus.
Ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients with an awareness of what needs to be prioritized
Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members across digital channels and an innate desire to build relationships
Humility and openness to coaching and critiques; always seeking to improve

What does the day to day look like for this role?
Working with more senior staff, you’ll handle much of the day-to-day operations for our clients (transaction entry, invoicing, bill payments, payroll preparation, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.)
Your daily tasks will be cleanly organized in Karbon, our practice management system, a critical tool that will set you up for success managing work across multiple clients
While you won’t be responsible for managing client relationships, you’ll interact with clients from time to time, answering specific questions or politely seeking certain information
As you work, you’ll always stop to ask questions of your team when you aren’t exactly sure what needs to be done - whether inside a client’s books or another client system
