Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • At least two years of healthcare experience, or an equivalent combination of education and EEOICPA experience, is required.
  • At least two years of staff scheduling experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule visits for the care team in the electronic medical record (EMR), find coverage when staffing needs arise, work with recruiting and local leadership to source and hire staff, maximize use of authorized hours, and ensure clinical compliance items are scheduled and completed in accordance with company and state guidelines.
  • Identify patient needs for durable medical equipment and coordinate with DME companies to meet those needs.
  • Evaluate patient conditions not currently covered by the Department of Labor and coordinate assistance for patients to have consequential illnesses added to their covered conditions.
  • Assist the authorization team with starts of care and renewal periods to advocate for and justify the appropriate level of care for each patient.
  • Attend medical appointments with patients and serve as a resource to physicians regarding the Department of Labor Home Health Care program.
  • Gather medical records as needed.
  • Ensure authorized units are staffed by the assigned skilled nurse or home health aide while limiting overtime; coordinate with the general manager and director of nursing for direction.
  • Provide electronic medical record and home orientation training to staff.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Communicate with patients, nurses, home health aides, and the claims team, and update the executive director and director of nursing on patient status and care provided in the home.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, follow company policies, and perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of Department of Labor / EEOICPA experience is preferred.
  • Home health experience is preferred.
