- A bachelor's degree is required.
- At least two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination is required, including community development activities and programming and student staff supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Good leadership and conflict-resolution skills are required.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, communicate with a diverse population, and supervise staff is required.
- Ability to work with a standard office software package is required.
- Manage the residence hall's day-to-day community development initiatives and programs to create residential living and learning communities.
- Supervise Resident Assistants and advise hall council.
- Provide crisis intervention to residents by assessing problems and resolving or referring them to a supervisor.
- Conduct investigations of alleged violations of University and residence policies, hold meetings, determine the seriousness of violations, and issue sanctions.
- Perform assigned after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call duties on a rotational basis to address residence-hall emergencies.
- A master's degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working within a residential life or housing program in a university environment is preferred.
- Experience with crisis response, student advising, community development, and large-scale program planning is preferred.
