Requirements

Can stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
Can reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
Can deliver plates and clear tables of plates and glasses, lifting up to 50 pounds when required.
Can speak, read, and write English.
Can read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
Must complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with company and Florida statutory requirements.
Must complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with company and Florida statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
Support fellow employees with maintaining table appearance and running food and drinks as needed.
Know food and beverage menus, items, current promotions, and specials, and answer guests’ questions clearly.
Accurately record guests’ orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system promptly.
Retrieve food and drink orders from the kitchen or bar and deliver them to guests promptly.
Assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a manager.
Collect guest payments by credit card, cash, or gift card; ensure transactions are correct using the point-of-sale system, calculate change, and deliver it promptly.
Perform shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned side work.
Restock and maintain cleanliness of guest restrooms.

Responsibilities

Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift

Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
Ability to speak, read and write English
Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
