Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a player or assistant coach at the high school or college level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it is required.
  • A driver's license or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • High-level interpersonal and motivational skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as Assistant Varsity Coach of Men's and Women's Tennis.
  • Assist with developing recruiting plans.
  • Actively recruit and evaluate prospects.
  • Conduct recruitment visits and recruitment competition evaluations.
  • Recruit in accordance with NCAA Division III and University Athletic Association regulations.
  • Assess prospective student-athletes' skills and abilities and prepare written evaluations for the Head Coach's review.
  • Assist with developing practice plans, strategies for upcoming contests, and player skills and conditioning programs in consultation with the Head Coach.
  • Develop and execute segments of each practice.
  • Present scouting reports on upcoming opponents.
  • Present new defensive or offensive schemes.
  • Develop an overall skill development plan for athletes.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience coaching high school and/or college-level teams in the specific sport is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of coaching at the NCAA Division I, II, or III levels is preferred.
