  • Detailed knowledge of Department of Defense and service-level Army, Navy, and Air Force intelligence communities, including collection methods, production resources, and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of advanced persistent threats and tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with cybersecurity tools and technologies, including VirusTotal, Domain Tools, security information and event management systems, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and forensic analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, cyber threat actors, the cyber kill chain, indicators of compromise, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Ability to supervise the handling of classified information.
  • Prior experience briefing information to decision-makers and leaders.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including those in the defense industrial base.
  • Active Secret clearance; Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Perform threat analyses based on cybersecurity knowledge and concepts supporting intelligence analysis requirements for all-source cyber analysis and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical threat models and provide functional guidance and direction to the threat studies team in the conduct of projects.
  • Use scanning tools such as VirusTotal to scan suspicious files; perform queries, pivot on indicators, and analyze malware characteristics including MD5 and SHA1 hashes, file size, file name, and file paths.
  • Conduct expert-level research and analysis of intelligence and related data in support of threat studies.
  • Prepare, submit, and present reports and issue papers to customer representatives.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and direction to the threat studies team and less-senior analysts.
  • Use Jira to track analysis tasks and communicate status.
  • Use tools such as VirusTotal, Google Threat Intelligence, and Recorded Future to obtain, fuse, and analyze cyber threat intelligence.
Desired Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Mathematics, or Software Engineering is highly desired.
  • Relevant certifications such as CYSA+, CISSP, CEH, or CISM are preferred.
  • Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance is preferred.
