Responsibilities
  • Manage and enhance the system of controls and procedures around fixed asset accounting.
  • Ensure appropriate oversight & accounting practices are followed for acquisitions, dispositions, depreciation, and amortization in accordance with US GAAP and company policy.
  • Participate in month-end close cycle as it relates to the fixed asset & project modules including preparing journal entries, financial reporting & reconciliations.
  • Prepare fixed asset analyses and reports as requested by management.
  • Lead periodic physical counts, impairment, and obsolescence reviews, reporting results and recommended actions to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper capitalization of new projects.
  • Coordinate with others to ensure all leases are properly identified and reported under ASC 842.
  • Manage property tax accruals, payments and annual tax filing preparation.
  • Liaison for internal & external auditors’ inquiries and requests related to fixed assets and projects.
  • Support Accounts Payable with sales tax audits related to fixed assets.
  • Assist Brunswick Corporate Tax as necessary to meet tax compliance responsibilities.
  • Undertake special projects as directed by the Accounting Manager or Global Financial Controller.
