Who We Are Looking For

The Vice President of Housing & Real Estate Strategy provides leadership and strategic direction for a portfolio of housing, treatment, clinic, and administrative projects. This role oversees daily operations, real estate development initiatives, and policy implementation while ensuring quality service delivery, financial sustainability, and community impact. The VP builds and manages a strong team, fosters stakeholder partnerships, and advances the organization’s mission to expand affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income households with behavioral health needs.

Job Responsibilities

· Works with the CEO to develop a business growth plan. Conducts market analyses to determine sites for future growth

· Oversees planning, site selection, financing, and construction for housing and facilities projects

· Evaluates potential projects, prepares feasibility analyses, and develops financial pro formas

· Develops solid understanding of business/area plan and the critical elements for fulfillment

· Ensures the effective management of housing, treatment, and clinical programs

· Collaborates with finance leaders to manage budgets and ensure fiscal accountability

· Travels on a regular basis to program locations to provide onsite direction and oversight

· Support property and asset management functions, including renovations and tenant services

· Secures funding sources, grants, and tax credit opportunities

· Works with marketing staff to develop and implement an area marketing plan

· Cultivates partnerships with public officials, developers, brokers, and community stakeholders

· Provides administrative supervision and oversight to operations and clinical leaders; develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for staff

· Ensures the achievement of positive clinical outcomes in all programs

· Ensures adherence to evidence-based or proven practices

· Implements Board-approved real estate and asset management policies

· Contributes to housing policy recommendations aligned with organizational goals

· Ensures compliance with licensing, audits, HUD, LIHTC, and other regulatory frameworks

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Architecture, or social services related field 

Experience

· Five years of experience managing operations, budgets, and projects

· Five years of managing behavioral health treatment programs
