Requirements
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in Risk Management, Occupational Safety, or a related degree.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, web applications, and database software.
  • Ability to communicate across diverse teams, including project managers, drafting staff, field staff, and fabrication shops.
  • Ability to work productively in fast-paced environments while multitasking.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workload efficiently.
  • Ability to build trust and long-lasting professional relationships.
  • Problem-solving ability.
Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Safety Specialists and Safety Managers to support project safety efforts.
  • Use predictive artificial intelligence tools to regularly review and analyze safety data for significant trends and support communicating those trends and lessons learned with the business.
  • Support root cause analysis of incidents related to injuries and near misses.
  • Walk jobsites and fabrication shops with the safety team to learn construction workflow, identify hazards, and survey adherence to safety values.
  • Assist in responding to project-related safety inquiries from project managers, assistant project managers, and field leaders.
  • Occasionally visit jobsites and navigate active construction areas, including stairs, ladders, and hoists.
  • Occasionally handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
