Responsibilities
Conduct enrollment, worksite orientations, participant orientations, and workshop components.
Act as a liaison to worksites.
Maintain and update participants’ employment files.
Coordinate with the Employment/Education Specialist, Job Developer, Education/Youth Employment Coordinator, and Program Aide/Assistant to ensure participants attend employment and educational trainings.
Participate in distributing debit cards to participants.
Enable youth to acquire positive work habits and develop employment-related skills.
Perform light administrative duties, including making phone calls, emailing, faxing, copying, and making packets.
Troubleshoot worksite issues and help participants and employers reach mutually agreed resolutions.
Intervene as needed to remove participants from worksites and handle potential reassignment with the Job Developer and Youth Employment Coordinator.
Complete weekly assessments, including written weekly summaries based on conversations with worksite supervisors and participants and field observations.
Conduct weekly interviews with participants and worksite supervisors for weekly assessment reports.
Distribute and collect relevant documents from worksites, including timesheets, evaluations, and reflections, and ensure accuracy and completion by required deadlines.
Submit timesheets, weekly assessments, and other relevant documents promptly to the Youth Employment Coordinator using Dropbox, Google Drive, and other assigned platforms.
Assist with payroll verification as needed.
Participate in weekly meetings with the Youth Workforce team.
Attend staff meetings and required professional development training.
Complete Basecamp check-ins twice per day.
Assist with other department duties and projects as needed.
Desired Qualifications
An Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree is a plus.
Bilingual English and Spanish ability is a plus.

Job-Readiness Counselors must appropriately conduct themselves, setting the example for all stakeholders, including participants, parents, and co-workers. He/she will assist youth in making informed choices and planning for meaningful futures by helping out with the facilitation of orientations, workshops, and project-based learning activities.
