  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree is required.
  • Experience in an insurance setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Strong multitasking skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Review applications and related policy documentation in preparation for policy issuance.
  • Prepare and issue new and renewal policies.
  • Process endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements.
  • Review and input certificates of insurance.
  • Review and input driver information and motor vehicle records.
  • Issue vehicle identification cards.
  • Issue federal and state filings.
  • Prioritize workload consistently while balancing deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Perform quality-control checks of policy electronic files and related documentation to ensure processing accuracy.
  • Identify and promptly escalate items requiring approval or underwriting guidance, ensuring questions and issues are addressed and resolved appropriately.
  • Send policies, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and identification cards to agents and brokers.
  • Store policy documentation and correspondence in the electronic policy file under the correct naming guide and subfolder.
  • Answer emails and phone calls as needed.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Jeff Consolino named Core Specialty chairman as Ed Noonan steps down after six years

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings has announced changes to its Board of Directors. Ed Noonan has stepped down as Executive Chairman after serving since the company's 2020 recapitalisation. Jeff Consolino, the company's founder, president and CEO, has assumed the role of Executive Chairman effective immediately. The company has also appointed Bart van der Vlugt to its Board of Directors. Van der Vlugt is a principal at Sixth Street, which he joined in 2021, where he focuses on insurance sector investments including Sixth Street's partnership with Enstar Group Limited. Enstar, backed by Sixth Street-managed investment vehicles, provided Core Specialty with insurance companies and reinsurance agreements at the company's formation in 2020.
