Haemonetics wins FDA approval for PerQseal Elite large-bore vascular closure system

Haemonetics has won US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for its PerQseal Elite vascular closure system, used in large-bore arterial procedures. The approval expands the company's range of large-bore closure devices for structural heart and endovascular procedures. Haemonetics acquired Vivasure Medical Limited, the device's developer, in January 2026. The sutureless system uses a fully bioabsorbable patch to seal arteriotomies up to 26F from inside the vessel. In the ELITE arterial study, it showed 0% major complications and a mean time to hemostasis under one minute. The device received CE Mark approval in Europe in 2025. Haemonetics will present clinical data at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics Conference at the end of October.

Haemonetics announces FDA approval of PerQseal(R) Elite vascular closure system. More in regulatory: PR News WireThis post was originally published on this site BOSTON, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Haemonetics Corporation (NYSE: HAE), a global medical technology company focused on delivering innovative solutions designed to improve patient outcomes, today announced U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of the PerQseal(R) Elite vascular closure system for large-bore arterial procedures. The approval expands Haemonetics' portfolio of clinically-differentiated large-bore closure devices for structural heart and endovascular procedures in the U.S., following the company's acquisition of Vivasure Medical Limited in January 2026. The PerQseal Elite system provides sutureless, large-bore vascular closure following structural heart and endovascular procedures performed with 14 - 22F sheaths. Its fully bioabsorbable patch seals arteriotomies up to 26F from within the vessel, enabling near-instantaneous hemostasis and leaving nothing permanent behind. Physicians can confirm hemostasis while maintaining guidewire access, with the flexibility to reposition or recover the system until implant release. Results from the prospective, single-arm, multicenter ELITE arterial study demonstrated 0% major complications per VARC-3 and a mean time to hemostasis of less than one minute.[1] In 2025, PerQseal Elite received CE Mark approval in Europe for both arterial and venous indications. "FDA approval represents an important milestone in our strategy to bolster our presence and growth in advanced vascular closure, with new and meaningful innovation to meet evolving procedural needs," said Jan Hartmann, M.D., Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Haemonetics. "PerQseal Elite has the potential to further simplify minimally invasive procedures such as TAVR, while supporting patient comfort and experience. We are pleased to offer physicians and their patients in the U.S. this novel, patch-based approach to large-bore vascular closure." Professor Nicolas van Mieghem, MD, co-investigator of the ELITE study clinical trials and interventional cardiologist at ZOL Hospital in Genk, Belgium, said, "I have found PerQseal Elite to be easy to adopt and intuitive to use, with rapid hemostasis being a particularly notable feature. In both the ELITE study and our early clinical experience, it has integrated well into procedural workflows for large-bore arterial interventions." Clinical data related to PerQseal Elite will be presented and discussed by Haemonetics at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics(R)(TCT) Conference at the end of October. * VARC-3 major device-related vascular access site complications through 30 days. Haemonetics shares surge 149.3% in a year on plasma and MedSurg growth

Haemonetics shares have risen 149.3% over the past year, while the industry fell 26.8%. The S&P 500 gained 18% over the same period. Demand for the company's plasma products is driving the rally. In the first quarter of fiscal 2027, plasma revenue rose 7.2% to $155.5 million, and MedSurg revenue rose 6.0% to $148.1 million. Haemonetics raised its fiscal 2027 reported revenue growth guidance to 5-8% from 4-7%. Organic growth is now expected at 4-7%, up from 3-6%. Debt remains a concern. Long-term debt stood at $1.17 billion, and net leverage was 2.69x EBITDA. Slower product adoption, especially by the American Red Cross, could also hurt revenue.

Haemonetics (HAE) stock jumps 16% as CSL Plasma commits to full U.S. Equipment deployment. Key highlights. Table of Contents * Shares of Haemonetics jumped nearly 16% following CSL Plasma's commitment to deploy NexSys devices nationwide. * The plasma collection giant aims to finish equipment installations at over 300 U.S. facilities by the end of 2027. * BTIG analysts lifted their price target to $130, while Citi previously upgraded the stock to Buy. * Recent quarterly results showed $339.38 million in revenue and diluted earnings of $0.72 per share. * Market participants anticipate November 5 earnings release for updates on CSL partnership revenue projections. Shares of Haemonetics (HAE) climbed 15.96% on Thursday, October 8, 2026, reaching approximately $118 during morning hours from the prior close of $101.71. The rally followed CSL Plasma's disclosure of plans to deploy the medical device company's plasma collection technology throughout its entire U.S. footprint. CSL Plasma commits to comprehensive U.S. Deployment. CSL Plasma informed Haemonetics of its intention to install NexSys PCS devices equipped with Persona PLUS technology across every operational U.S. plasma donation center. The company established December 2027 as the completion target for this transition, affecting a network spanning more than 300 locations. This commitment builds upon an August supply agreement granting CSL flexibility to purchase Haemonetics equipment without binding minimum order quantities. The arrangement permits CSL to source from other suppliers, and specific implementation schedules await final confirmation between the partners. Earlier in the week, European healthcare stocks gained, supported in part by positive clinical trial developments. Wall street elevates Haemonetics (HAE) price projections. BTIG analysts increased their Haemonetics price objective from $110 to $130 on Thursday, maintaining their Buy recommendation. The previous month saw Citi shift its stance from Neutral to Buy, simultaneously raising its target from $92 to $123. These revisions arrived several weeks apart. Citi's analysis suggested that every 10% recovery in CSL-related business could contribute an additional $0.13 to annual earnings per share. Independent analyst estimates have placed potential annual sales from a complete CSL transition between $183 million and $223 million, though Haemonetics has issued no official guidance on these projections. Latest financial performance and Vivasure progress. The company's June quarter delivered $339.38 million in total revenue alongside $0.72 in diluted earnings per share. Top-line growth measured 5.6% year-over-year. Free cash flow generation totaled approximately $39.1 million for the period. Meanwhile, U.S. stock indexes set records during the same week, though increasing bond yields created headwinds for select healthcare equities. Haemonetics advanced its collaboration with Vivasure Medical through a $6.1 million milestone payment to Orchestra BioMed, bringing cumulative consideration to $11 million. The partnership structure allows for an additional $10 million in contingent payments tied to specific Vivasure revenue achievements. Market valuation and upcoming earnings release. The medical device manufacturer holds roughly $1.17 billion in long-term debt and traded near 50 times trailing earnings during Thursday's surge. This valuation multiple drew increased scrutiny following the day's price advance. A recent retail investor survey revealed unusually elevated equity allocations across the broader market. Haemonetics has maintained its fiscal 2027 outlook without revision, citing uncertainty around deployment timelines and order patterns. Management scheduled its second-quarter earnings announcement for November 5, when executives plan to provide clarity on anticipated revenue contributions from the expanded CSL relationship. CSL to roll out Haemonetics' NexSys devices across all US plasma centres by end of 2027

Haemonetics shares jumped 12% after the company announced CSL now expects to move all of its current US plasma collection centres to Haemonetics' NexSys devices by the end of 2027. The deal, first disclosed in August, was initially limited to only a portion of CSL's US centres with no timeline. The expanded agreement is significant because losing CSL previously flattened Haemonetics' growth. In fiscal 2026, the company's organic revenue growth was just 1.1%, compared to 9.5% excluding lost CSL sales. Following the surge, Haemonetics trades at approximately 21 times forward earnings, above its five-year average of 19.1 times. The deal is non-exclusive with no minimum purchase requirements, meaning CSL can still modify scope and timing. Management plans to provide further details during its November earnings call.
