About the Job

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure that runs the platforms, developing scalable, secure, and highly reliable systems to support services.
  • Automate manual operational tasks, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response, and develop and maintain tools to improve efficiency and reduce the potential for human error.
  • Write and review code in Ansible, Terraform, and Python for infrastructure automation, monitoring tools, and system improvements; contribute to the development lifecycle to ensure reliability is built into products from the start.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and low latency; fill gaps in monitoring systems when observed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to production incidents; lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Analyse system usage, cost, and performance data to make informed resource-allocation decisions; forecast future infrastructure needs and scale systems accordingly.
  • Work closely with software development teams to promote reliability best practices and champion a culture of reliability across the engineering organisation.
  • Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation for all systems, processes, and operational procedures as an everyday task and first-class engineering deliverable.

About the Company

Augur Initiative Ltd

Real-time security intelligence from sensor networks

Augur builds a resilience technology platform that turns dispersed sensor data into real-time intelligence for national security and public safety. Its AI perception engine plugs into existing cameras and sensors to detect unusual behavior, connect activities across locations, and reconstruct incident timelines without facial recognition, using anonymized movement patterns. It differentiates itself through privacy-by-design, reliance on anonymized signals rather than facial data, seamless integration with legacy hardware, and a software‑as‑a‑service delivery that avoids expensive upgrades. Its goal is to strengthen the resilience of public spaces and critical infrastructure by providing timely, privacy-conscious situational awareness to governments, infrastructure operators, and large venues so threats can be detected early and responses coordinated.
