Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least 5 years of system maintenance experience is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, endpoint protection, Microsoft SQL, VMware vSphere, Intel platform servers, and enterprise backup solutions is required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements and the financial or banking industry is required.
  • Bilingual ability in English and Mandarin is required.
Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain development, test, and production Windows servers.
  • Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot enterprise applications hosted on Windows Server.
  • Administer network and data security, including directories, group policy, firewalls, virus protection, email security, and phone systems.
  • Manage Active Directory and configure security settings and access permissions for groups and individuals.
  • Schedule software distributions and installations to minimize user disruption, support time-critical release upgrades, deploy urgent patches, and maintain current projects.
  • Perform proactive and reactive troubleshooting to identify potential incidents or problems.
  • Monitor and analyze incoming calls, problems, and support requests to develop trends.
  • Monitor and evaluate software and hardware usage efficiency and make recommendations.
  • Diagnose and resolve Windows application, system, and networking problems to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure server and networked-user backups are performed regularly.
  • Report implemented service improvements and recommend further actions to improve performance and service delivery.
  • Provide end-user support and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on computers, laptops, printers, and other authorized peripheral equipment.
  • Monitor, operate, manage, troubleshoot, and restore authorized personal computers, desktops, and notebooks connected to the network.
  • Assist end users in selecting appropriate software solutions while complying with bank policies, procedures, and budget constraints.
  • Maintain inventory and documentation for equipment, software, and software licenses.
  • Return defective equipment and parts to maintenance inventory, document customer repairs, and maintain and restock assigned parts inventory.
  • Assign users and computers to appropriate groups in Active Directory.
  • Install and configure endpoint protection software and virus-definition files on bank-owned computers and laptops.
  • Monitor antivirus software and updates and repair computers infected with spyware, adware, or viruses.
  • Maintain and update security baselines for servers and server software.
  • Understand, comply with, and monitor applicable laws and regulations when necessary.
