Requirements
  • At least 3 years of hands-on CNC lathe setup and operation experience.
  • Ability to independently set up CNC machines to produce high-quality aluminum parts and run overnight lights-out jobs.
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong working knowledge of Okuma lathe controls.
  • Ability to select, lift, carry, and stack products weighing between 30 and 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for a total of 10 to 12 hours with breaks, occasionally bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment 10-panel drug screen and participate in quarterly random screening.
Responsibilities
  • Set up jobs on Okuma CNC lathes equipped with a sub-spindle and live tooling.
  • Install and align workholding fixtures, chucks, collets, and cutting tools.
  • Load, verify, and edit G-code or control programs at the machine.
  • Set tool registers, establish work coordinates, and adjust feeds and speeds.
  • Perform first-article inspections using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling, or dimensional issues during production runs.
Desired Qualifications
  • CNC Machining Technologies certificate or equivalent.
