About the job

Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience creating video and photography content in-house, agency, or freelance.
  • A showreel or portfolio demonstrating short-form social video and photography.
  • Confidence shooting video and photography independently.
  • Strong editing skills using Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar software.
  • A strong understanding of content performance across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Meta advertising.
  • Comfort interviewing real customers and obtaining natural, usable stories on camera.
  • Ability to plan and run a shoot from start to finish without constant supervision.
  • Strong creative instincts with an understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, and social-first formats.
  • Ability to manage content schedules, footage, and asset libraries in an organized manner.
  • Commercial interest in understanding which content drives action.
  • A current driver's licence.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and Smart Energy locations when required.
Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer homes and installation sites to capture real customer stories.
  • Film and photograph the journey from installation through to results.
  • Interview customers on camera and turn their experiences into natural, compelling content.
  • Capture testimonials, before-and-after stories, product footage, and real-world proof.
  • Shoot, edit, and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Turn longer shoots into multiple pieces of short-form content.
  • Create Reels, TikToks, Shorts, customer stories, behind-the-scenes footage, and social-first creative.
  • Produce and refresh creative for Meta advertising campaigns.
  • Develop new hooks, angles, formats, and concepts for continuous testing.
  • Work with the marketing team to understand what converts and create more effective content.
  • Maintain a pipeline of fresh assets to combat creative fatigue.
  • Create both conversion-focused and engagement-focused content.
  • Capture teams, offices, events, sales culture, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Create content that helps prospective employees understand the company.
  • Own and maintain the content calendar.
  • Maintain a consistent publishing rhythm.
  • Plan shoots and coordinate travel, talent, and locations.
  • Maintain an organized library of footage, photography, and creative assets.
  • Work with the wider marketing team so content supports leads, sales, and business growth.
