- A bachelor's-level qualification such as B.Tech, B.E., or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a Bachelor of Computer Applications.
- Proven experience configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of local area networks, wide area networks, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, virtual private networks, virtual local area networks, and routing protocols including Open Shortest Path First, Border Gateway Protocol, and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting network performance issues.
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and maintain service level agreements.
- Implement network security policies and firewall rules to safeguard the organization's information technology assets.
- Perform network performance tuning, capacity planning, and traffic analysis.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new network hardware and software.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network upgrades and projects.
- Support incident management and provide escalation support for complex network issues.
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Palo Alto, Check Point, or similar are a plus.
