- All three Pennsylvania clearances are required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Request for Criminal Record, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history clearance.
- Pennsylvania mandated and permissive reporting training and The Salvation Army's KeepSafe training are required.
- Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- Must be a high school graduate or have a General Educational Development equivalent.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Pick up food from donating agencies.
- Deliver food to distribution points, including food pantries and soup kitchens.
- Record the truck's proper mileage.
- Ensure the truck receives proper maintenance in a timely manner.
- Clean and wash the truck as needed.
- Collect the necessary statistics and signatures from each delivery site.
- Promptly report any product damage.
- Secure necessary truck volunteers for loading and unloading.
