Requirements
  • All three Pennsylvania clearances are required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Request for Criminal Record, and fingerprint-based federal criminal history clearance.
  • Completion of Pennsylvania Mandated and Permissive Reporting and The Salvation Army's KeepSAfe training is required.
  • A valid Pennsylvania driver's license is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision is required.
Responsibilities
  • Pick up food from donating agencies.
  • Deliver food to distribution points, including food pantries and soup kitchens, in a timely manner.
  • Record the truck's mileage accurately.
  • Ensure timely and proper truck maintenance.
  • Clean and wash the truck as needed.
  • Collect the necessary statistics and signatures from each delivery site.
  • Promptly report any product damage.
  • Secure the necessary truck volunteers for loading and unloading.
