  • Collaborate with design teams to develop characterization requirements for TSV interfaces, PHY-critical paths, and high-speed datapath elements aligned with system-level performance and power targets.
  • Integrate characterization flows into build and verification ecosystems by partnering with design, verification, and computer-aided design teams.
  • Drive improvements in model accuracy, turnaround time, and silicon correlation while establishing standard processes for corner definition, quality metrics, and data consistency across intellectual properties and programs.
  • Lead debug, validation, and continuous-improvement efforts by root-causing mismatches between SPICE, extracted views, static timing analysis, and silicon behavior.
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and automated checks to ensure completeness, adaptability, and quality of characterization data for reliable signoff and scalable deployment across future HBM programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with SiliconSmart or PrimeLib.
  • Experience working across multiple semiconductor process technologies.
  • Experience in HBM, DRAM, or high-speed interface development, particularly with advanced foundry process design kits such as TSMC nodes.
  • Familiarity with high-speed PHY development, TSV-aware considerations, signal integrity, electromigration and IR-drop effects, aging, and reliability.
  • Prior infrastructure or methodology development experience beyond using characterization flows.
  • Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI for efficient workflow development.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Micron's Q3 fiscal 2026 revenue hit $41.46 billion, and Q4 guidance reached $50 billion.
  • CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said supply stays tight beyond 2027 as AI demand accelerates.
  • Japan subsidized Micron's $9.3 billion Hiroshima fab with up to ¥500 billion.

What critics are saying

  • CXMT's DRAM share reached 7% in 2026, pressuring Micron's pricing by 2028.
  • Micron's $24 billion Singapore NAND fab and Hiroshima expansion tie cash to 2028 output.
  • A memory downcycle after 2027 would crush Micron's 84.9% gross margins and valuation.

What makes Micron Technology unique

  • Micron's 2026 SCAs locked 16 customer agreements across data center, automotive, and consumer.
  • Micron's 9650 became the first PCIe Gen 6 data-center SSD at FMS 2026.
  • Micron is building HBM and NAND capacity in New York, Singapore, and Hiroshima.

Micron gets $1,375 target from Mizuho on tight DRAM and NAND supply through 2027

Micron Technology shares fell approximately 1.1% on Tuesday despite Mizuho analyst Vijay Rakesh maintaining an Outperform rating with a $1,375 price target. Rakesh believes DRAM and NAND supply will remain tight through 2027, with new capacity not arriving until 2028. Micron reported record revenue of $41.46 billion in its latest quarter, up from $23.86 billion sequentially and $9.30 billion year-over-year. GAAP gross margin reached 84.6%, whilst operating cash flow hit $25.39 billion. Rakesh expects gross margins to remain above 80% as AI drives demand for high-performance memory. However, Micron traded at $861.51 on 11 August, 98.22% above its GF Value estimate of $434.62, suggesting the stock already prices in a strong memory cycle. The valuation leaves limited room for disappointment if supply catches up faster than expected.

Micron stock stalls at $1,000 despite 690% surge and 247% revenue growth forecast

Micron stock has surged nearly 690% over the past year but has fallen roughly 30% since June, puzzling investors given its relatively low valuation. The chip manufacturer's historical volatility likely prevents it from realising its full potential. In the first nine months of fiscal 2026, Micron's revenue soared 203% to $79 billion, with net income reaching $47 billion. Despite this growth, the stock trades at a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of 20 and a forward ratio of 12, suggesting investor reluctance. Whilst five-year pricing agreements with customers offer stability, Micron faces potential competition from Chinese manufacturers like ChangXin Memory Technologies, which may begin producing high-bandwidth memory by year-end. Historically, supply has eventually caught up with demand in every previous upcycle.

Citi cuts Micron price target 18% to $1,150 as DRAM and NAND pricing seen peaking in 2Q 2026

Citi analyst Atif Malik cut Micron Technology's price target 18% to $1,150 from $1,400 whilst maintaining a Buy rating, warning that DRAM and NAND pricing cycles may be nearing their peak. The firm reduced fiscal 2027 and 2028 earnings estimates by 1% and 2% respectively, expecting gross margins to retreat from the mid-80% range toward the mid-70% range next year as pricing power moderates. Micron posted fiscal third-quarter revenue of $41.46 billion, up from $9.30 billion a year earlier. Management expects fourth-quarter revenue near $50 billion. Malik cited Chinese competition and capacity additions in NAND and DRAM markets as the biggest risk. However, roughly 40% of Micron's DRAM bits are covered by long-term pricing agreements, providing some protection.

Citi cuts Micron price target to $1.15B despite record $41.46B revenue and AI boom

Micron Technology shares slipped 0.6% on Friday after Citi cut its price target to $1,150 from $1,400 whilst maintaining a Buy rating. The downgrade reflects expectations that DRAM and NAND pricing gains will moderate over the next four quarters. Despite the target cut, Micron reported record revenue of $41.46 billion, up from $23.86 billion in the previous quarter. The company forecasts fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of $50 billion, plus or minus $1 billion, with gross margins around 86%. However, valuation concerns are emerging. Micron trades near $874, roughly 55% above its estimated intrinsic value of $564. The company plans $27 billion in capital investment for fiscal 2026 as it expands AI customer relationships.
