About the job
- NYS certification as a School Psychologist, provisional or permanent, is required.
- A Master's Degree in School Psychology is required.
- At least one year of experience working in a setting focused on supporting children and their families is required.
- Bilingual proficiency is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills are required.
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments.
- Provide counseling, parent training, and direct therapy services as mandated by a student's IEP, BIP, or 504 plan.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and design behavior intervention plans and support programs.
- Consult with parents, teachers, and families to enhance a child's ability to learn within the educational environment and develop community resources to meet needs.
- Maintain positive communication between school staff, supervisors, and families.
- Participate in IEP conferences, annual reviews, and other special meetings as needed.
