Requirements
  • An associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical hardware and radio frequency systems, including signal generation, radio frequency test equipment, and circuit-level troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in one or more of C, C++, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems, including configuration, command line, and basic administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and hands-on technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance up to TS/SCI.
  • If filled at the Senior Professional level, a bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
  • If filled at the Advanced Professional level, a bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
  • Eligibility to obtain a government security clearance, participation in the ARL drug testing program, and compliance with electronic and physical monitoring requirements applicable to federal contractors are required.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, fabrication, and integration of electrical hardware and radio frequency system test setups and fixtures.
  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot software in C, C++, or Python to support hardware testing, automation, and data collection.
  • Perform hands-on assembly, wiring, configuration, and bench-level testing of hardware and software systems.
  • Support system integration, test, and evaluation activities in laboratory and field environments, and document results.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and test environments.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and configuration records, and support procurement of parts and tools as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with embedded systems or hardware/software co-design.
  • Experience with laboratory test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
  • Prior Department of Defense or Intelligence Community laboratory, systems integration, or trusted systems experience.
  • An active security clearance at the Secret level or higher.
  • Experience with scripting or automation for testing and data collection.
