Requirements
Willingness and ability to work with the SED, DMH, and DCF populations.
Must be a first-year Master of Social Work student intern from an accredited educational institution.
Must be able to successfully complete a Massachusetts State CORI, SORI, and CPS check.
Must meet with the Clinical Supervisor for supervision as needed.
Must maintain all ethical and legal requirements of the agency and standards of confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Arrange for the collection of relevant information regarding the family’s story, current situation, and family strengths and needs.
Support completion of the modified Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths assessment and other identified supplemental behavioral needs assessments.
Oversee development of the Family Support Plan.
Fulfill department reporting requirements and required Family Resource Center documentation.
Work with all Family Members involved with the Family Resource Center, prioritizing Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues.
Make referrals to other resources, agencies, clinics, and hospitals as needed.
Facilitate Family Resource Center family and youth groups.
Respond to reasonable expectations of the agency and/or supervisor.
Demonstrate commitment to the agency mission, values, and philosophy while performing role-specific skills.
Focus on understanding and meeting family needs.
Maintain positive work relationships in a respectful and collaborative manner.
Maintain good communication with others and ensure others have necessary information.
Actively work toward organizational improvement and professional growth.
We are currently accepting applications for an unpaid MSW Internship for Fall of 2026 at our Family Resource Center (FRC). The MSW Intern shall support the FRC Clinician and CRA team in conducting trauma-informed intakes, screening, assessment functions and Family Support Plans for Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting the completion of the modified CANS as well as other identified supplemental behavioral needs assessments
Oversee the development of the Family Support Plan

Work with all Family Members who are involved with the FRC; however, Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues are prioritized for services.
