THS Part Time Class A CDL Driver Overnight or Evening Shifts
About the job
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of trucking experience with manual transmission.
- Must hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license with hazardous materials endorsements.
- Must successfully complete the required airport badging process, USPS background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical driving record check.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent knowledge of ramp operations.
- Must have strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Must have leadership ability, customer focus, and quality awareness.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
- Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
- Must be able to work weekends, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and holidays, and maintain strict adherence to attendance policies.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules across evening, night, and overnight shifts, which may be adjusted to meet operational demands.
- Drive company trucks on short-haul routes between in-state company warehouses for postal operations.
- Drive a tractor-trailer daily to accommodate airport workload.
- Transport cargo via 53-foot trailer from aircraft to warehouse or from warehouse to aircraft while adhering to strict safety regulations.
- Interact with airline representatives and staff in a customer-service-oriented manner.
- Perform and document truck pre-operation inspections, including visual inspection, fuel, tires, mirrors, lights, windshield cracks, brake checks, fluid leaks, fire extinguisher, and three safety triangles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
