Major name done with WWE - reports.

Major name done with WWE - reports. By Monika Thapa - Published Jul 02, 2026 07:54 EDT Wrestling retirements are not set in stone. But Pat McAfee's case might be different. McAfee created a lot of buzz earlier this year when he teamed up with Randy Orton against Cody Rhodes in the buildup to WrestleMania 42. McAfee's involvement in Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes' storyline caused tons of frustration among the WWE Universe. Amid fan criticism, he made a major announcement, claiming that he would retire from WWE if Randy Orton failed to win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42. Unfortunately, Randy Orton failed, and Pat McAfee had to retire from WWE. Fans thought that McAfee's retirement was only for storyline purposes and that he might eventually return to the Stamford-based promotion. But according to the latest report, that doesn't seem to be the case. Fans won't see Pat McAfee in WWE anytime soon. Sportskeeda Wrestling recently published a report stating that McAfee is "done with WWE and will likely not be returning to the company anytime soon," either as a manager or a commentator. The report noted that WWE got him involved in Randy Orton's storyline to give him an exit storyline, thus properly ending his tenure with the company. The report added that the Stamford-based promotion was planning to bring him back for some big shows, but that's not going to happen in the near future since "he's currently done" with WWE. "Pat McAfee is done with WWE. He will likely not be returning to the company anytime soon. While the entire leave and never return gimmick seemed overblown at first, it's what the company has planned for him. It was a way for him to finish up, and even then, it was because of TKO's call that he had been involved in the first place. The star is not returning to the announcement desk either, with them happy with Corey Graves and Michael Cole working together." There has been talk of bringing him back for a couple of big shows so he won't need to be on the road regularly, which was the entire issue, as his schedule had become untenable and he was physically and mentally exhausted. But he's currently done, and no future dates are in sight. He's done." Make TJR Wrestling your choice for news by clicking here.

WWE Generations: Eras Collide is the new WWE Title for Mobile.

WWE Generations: Eras Collide is the new WWE Title for Mobile. Looks like the WWE franchise of videogames is branching out to other platforms as a brand new mobile game titled WWE Generations: Eras Collide has been recently announced featuring strategic trios battles and teams comprised of WWE Superstars from different eras and decades. So if you're looking for some WWE action on-the-go, the upcoming title is exactly what you need which can completely fill your wrestling appetite in more ways than one. News of the upcoming title first appeared through a trademark filed by WWE last month and is now solidified through an Android App Store listing which shows the game is made by Scopely who had previously worked on WWE Champions, which was a match-3 mobile wrestling RPG. A trailer has also been released which you can check out below: The official description of WWE Generations: Eras Collide is as follows: "Step into the ultimate WWE RPG and experience intense 3v3 battles. Build your team with Superstars from all eras to become the greatest manager of all time in this action-packed turn-based RPG. * Collect & Upgrade Superstars - Unlock Superstars from all eras and level them up * 3v3 Team Battles - Build your ultimate team and compete in strategic battles" The upcoming mobile title will also help get the WWE brand of games to a wider range of audience who may also later gravitate to the console WWE titles. In other news of WWE games, developer Visual Concepts has recently added Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick as a playable character in WWE 2K26. The CEO also comes with his own commentary and uses Frank Sinatra's "My Way" as his entrance theme, moreover, he can also be used in all the game modes as well. However, you can't customize his character from the in-game editor, also, his theme can't be used for any other wrestlers. WWE 2K26 came out on March 13 for all platforms and was met with mostly positive reviews from critics and players alike for it's new additions over last year's title. Shouvik Bose became fascinated with Videogames at an early age, he loves playing and writing about what he plays. He enjoys the whole craft of writing as much as playing, and feels that both are forms of Art by themselves. Primarily a PC gamer, he loves games that excel at gameplay and replayability. * Trending * Comments * Latest

WWE called out for AI usage during night of Champions with SummerSlam "minnesoba" Blunder.

WWE called out for AI usage during night of Champions with SummerSlam "minnesoba" Blunder. WWE has been called out - and ridiculed - for blatant AI usage in new SummerSlam promotional artwork revealed during Night of Champions that turned Minnesota into "Minnesoba." By JoshWilding - Jun 28, 2026 08:06 AM EST Filed Under: WWE WWE is once again facing criticism over its apparent use of artificial intelligence after eagle-eyed fans spotted an embarrassing error during Saturday night's Night of Champions PLE. While promoting August's two-night SummerSlam, viewers noticed that the on-screen graphic listed the event as taking place in "Minnesoba" rather than Minnesota. The blatant typo immediately went viral on social media, with many fans pointing to it as another example of the downside of relying on AI-generated promo material. The mistake may seem minor on its own, but it has reignited an ongoing debate surrounding WWE's increasing reliance on AI-generated content. Many fans have argued for months that the company's promotional posters feature telltale signs of AI, leading to complaints about their generic composition, strange details (like the elongated WWE logo below), and a lack of WWE's distinctive style. WWE has also come under fire for using AI in video packages. For years, the company received praise for those. Unfortunately, AI-generated imagery has been prevalent in them for some time now, starting with Chad Gable's introduction as El Grande Americano (where AI was used to show the character's history as a Mexican luchador). Now, this "Minnesoba" error has only added fuel to those complaints. Social media was quickly flooded with jokes and memes, while others questioned, AI or not, how a promotion the size of WWE could allow such an obvious mistake to make it onto television. Some argued that even if AI is used during the creative process, basic proofreading should have caught the error long before the graphic went out on live TV. It's not a good look for a multi-billion-dollar company to be hit with accusations of cutting corners rather than investing in traditional artists and designers who had previously created memorable posters and promos for WWE's biggest shows of the year. Still, it's not as if they're alone on this. For many companies, artificial intelligence has become an increasingly common tool in marketing, graphic design, and content creation, but its adoption continues to divide opinion. While AI is viewed as a way to reduce costs and speed up production, critics argue that it often produces lower-quality work while replacing the creativity and attention to detail that come from human artists. Whether the SummerSlam graphic was created entirely with AI or simply enhanced using AI tools, the typo doesn't reflect well on WWE and comes at a time when fans are growing increasingly dissatisfied with the company's offerings. It's even worse that they're clearly not even looking at the output afterwards, just trusting it blindly as being more than good enough. Literally the anyone could have seen that and fixed it if they cared. Logo duties is one thing that should definitely be handled by the art team rather than thrown to the image generator. Along with pretty much everything else. Do they pay their art team by the project or something? Cheap bastards Login to report abuse |

What is being said about the future of Apollo Crews in wrestling after leaving WWE.

What is being said about the future of Apollo Crews in wrestling after leaving WWE. Apollo Crews was among several WWE departures announced on April 24th 2026. According to WrestleVotes Radio, TNA has internally discussed the possibility of using Crews once he becomes legally available. However, with the rapidly changing situation surrounding TNA in recent weeks, it is currently unclear where those plans stand. It was pointed out that Tommy Dreamer and Sami Callihan are no longer with the company, making it difficult to know who may have been advocating for Crews internally before those changes occurred. It was also noted that TNA pursuing a talent such as Crews would not be unusual given the company's history of signing former WWE wrestlers.
