Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree.

  • Understanding employer and human resources manager hiring and workforce needs and expectations, as well as industry trends, market demands, and emerging fields.
  • Understanding of job placement processes for credit and non-credit programs.
  • Familiarity with developing, managing, and scaling a coordinated employer engagement program and its processes.
  • Skill in conducting needs analysis and working with businesses, associations, and government agencies to determine hiring needs.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills with employers at all levels and with varied backgrounds and expertise.
  • Excellent project management, multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Event planning, coordination, and management experience, or experience in the customer service industry focused on high-end customer experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to draft professional communications, prepare reports, and deliver presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to gather and synthesize data, compile information, and prepare meaningful reports.
  • Ability to think critically, analyze data and trends, and develop innovative employer-relations strategies.
  • Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive employer-relations strategy.
  • A proven track record of establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to advance organizational goals.
  • Ability to present acceptable original documents proving identity and authorization to work in the United States if hired.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Manager of Employer Relations in developing and executing a regional strategy for employer partnership development.
  • Execute the regional employer partnership development plan and assist Campus Leads.
  • Establish relationships with local employers through coordinating and executing job fairs, employer spotlights, networking opportunities, campus tours, and company visits to cultivate job opportunities.
  • Monitor regional industry trends and provide recommendations for program enhancements to the student learning and operations team and the Senior Manager of Employer Relations for curriculum alignment.
  • Support Campus Leads in engaging with local employers and industry partners.
  • Demonstrate TSTC core values of excellence, accountability, service, and integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and community members.
  • Establish and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with targeted regional and local employers and human resources managers for online, hybrid, and face-to-face programs.
  • Execute employer-relations best practices in coordination with the Employer Relations team and regional stakeholders to align with initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain regular communications with employers to ensure repeat recruiting visits that provide internship, co-op, and employment opportunities for TSTC students and alumni.
  • Grow the number of quality employment opportunities for regional TSTC graduates in collaboration with Regional Leads across the state.
  • Strategize with Career Development teams on local and regional placement goals and maximize student engagement in employment-focused activities.
  • Bridge connections between student learning and operations and employers.
  • Grow the number of employers engaged on campus by executing employer spotlights, job fairs, networking events, classroom visits, campus tours, interview days, faculty meetings, company tours, and other employment events.
  • Supervise Employer Relations Campus Leads by fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the career services team.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for employer-relations and industry-relations initiatives in the region as needed in tandem with Employer Relations, Career Development Leadership, and ERD constituents.
