Internship Program Overview
At ServiceNow, we’re looking for students who want to learn, grow, and take a giant step early in their careers, all while making a giant impact. We offer 12-week summer internship opportunities across various business functions.
Interns will participate in executive speaker series, career development workshops, philanthropic efforts, and team-building activities. Additionally, interns will have access to online learnings and a dedicated Summer Coach to further grow their careers with us.

As an Information Security Engineer Intern you may:
- Deploy and/or configure proprietary and commercial software products support cryptography, production host security, authentication, authorization, MFA other security verticals
- Assess security risks and impact of issues impacting ServiceNow and designing and implementing solutions designed to address shortcomings
- Work with stakeholders to provide triage and remediation recommendations.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree, in Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Graduating December 2024, or later
- Ability to obtain work authorization and commit to a 12-week internship in summer 2024 (May-August, or June-September)
- Fundamental understanding of one or more of the following: operating systems, software development, cybersecurity, systems engineering, or network engineering
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java/Python/Shell/C/etc.
- Linux or Unix experience
- Understanding of computing, operation, function
- Understanding of network communications OSI
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Familiarity with security vulnerabilities and risk assessment. (MITRE/AT&CK)
- Personal or academic projects focused in the security domain
- An analytical mind for problem solving, abstract thought, and offensive security tactics.
- Strong interpersonal skills (written and oral communication). Must work well in a team setting.
For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $49.04 - 55.58/hr, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
