About the job

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience building and shipping production mobile applications or software development kits.
  • Production applications published to the Play Store or App Store, or software development kits consumed by external teams.
  • Demonstrated stability, with 2+ years in at least one role preferred.
  • Deep expertise in at least one native platform: Android with Kotlin or iOS with Swift.
  • Working competence in at least one cross-platform stack: Flutter with Dart or React Native with TypeScript.
  • Ability to work across native bridges in both directions, including platform channels, native modules, and WebView messaging.
  • Understanding of mobile release engineering, including signing, provisioning, Gradle and Xcode build configuration, mobile continuous integration, and staged rollouts.
  • Ability to debug on real devices across device fragmentation, operating-system differences, and original-equipment-manufacturer quirks.
  • Understanding of unit, widget or user-interface, and on-device end-to-end testing.
  • Security-aware handling of payment data, personally identifiable information, and identity documents, including logging, storage, screenshots, clipboard data, and crash reports.
  • Ability to use artificial-intelligence tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot for non-trivial work and critically review its output.
  • Ability to work with high autonomy and low supervision.
Responsibilities
  • Build and ship the Flutter and React Native software development kits, including versioning, releases, changelogs, and distribution through pub.dev, npm, Maven Central, and CocoaPods or Swift Package Manager.
  • Extend the product into native Android with Kotlin and native iOS with Swift software development kits.
  • Design consumer-facing software development kit application programming interfaces with sensible defaults, clear errors, graceful fallbacks, and managed breaking changes.
  • Build camera and document capture capabilities for KYC, including identity-document capture, liveness, and image-quality handling on real-world devices.
  • Implement secure file handling, including pickers, uploads, encryption at rest, and temporary-file hygiene.
  • Implement on-device identity capabilities, including biometrics, Keychain or Keystore, secure token storage, and device attestation.
  • Maintain native bridges and WebView interoperability as native capabilities expand.
  • Build reproducible, automated release pipelines and reliable release artifacts.
  • Build real-device end-to-end testing infrastructure across Android and iOS device matrices.
  • Implement crash-free-rate and error observability for each software development kit and merchant application.
  • Debug integration issues inside merchant applications using incomplete information and devices that may be unavailable.
  • Write integration documentation and sample applications.
  • Work directly with merchant engineering teams during integration and go-live.
  • As the role grows, own the mobile technical roadmap across Flutter, React Native, Android, and iOS; set mobile engineering standards for architecture, release processes, testing, and observability; lead code reviews; represent mobile in cross-team architecture and product decisions; and contribute to hiring the mobile function.
Desired Qualifications
  • An existing software development kit or library published for external consumption.
  • Fintech, payments, KYC, or compliance product experience.
  • Experience migrating a hybrid or WebView product toward native.
  • Familiarity with mobile observability tools such as Sentry or Crashlytics and crash-free-rate as an operating metric.
  • Exposure to mobile accessibility and localization.
