About the Company

SAG-AFTRA

Labor union negotiating wages and contracts

SAG-AFTRA is a labor union that represents about 160,000 media professionals, including actors, announcers, journalists, dancers, recording artists, and other on-screen and behind-the-scenes talent. How its product works: the organization negotiates contracts with employers to secure wages, working conditions, health and pension benefits, and it enforces those contracts to protect members’ rights and prevent unauthorized use of their work. How SAG-AFTRA differs from competitors: it combines national reach (with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and local offices nationwide) with a member-focused, collaborative culture that emphasizes diversity, strong protections, and rigorous contract enforcement. Its goal: to secure the best possible wages, benefits, and working conditions for its members while expanding work opportunities and maintaining strong, enforceable protections for their creations.
