Requirements
  • At least 3 years of Product Management experience focused on growth, lifecycle, retention, or other business-to-consumer customer-facing products.
  • A track record of building and shipping customer-facing experiences that measurably improved conversion, retention, or engagement.
  • Hands-on experience designing, running, and interpreting A/B tests.
  • Strong understanding of conversion funnels and customer behaviors influencing acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and renewal.
  • Experience working closely with user interface and user experience designers to create simple, intuitive customer experiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including aligning multiple teams, making recommendations, navigating competing priorities, and moving decisions forward.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using customer and product data to validate ideas, prioritize opportunities, and measure results.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including roadmap planning, product requirements documents, user stories, and Agile delivery.
  • Clear, direct, and concise communication skills in working sessions and with executive leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of a product area in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
  • Own the roadmap for customer-facing products across the lifecycle, including enrollment, customer portal, retention, and renewal experiences.
  • Drive measurable improvements in conversion and retention, establish success metrics for initiatives, and report on outcomes.
  • Lead retention and churn-reduction initiatives by identifying customer drop-off or disengagement and building experiences to improve retention.
  • Use customer data, funnel analytics, segmentation, and user feedback to understand customer behavior and identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Monitor product performance after launch and iterate based on customer behavior and results.
  • Partner with Marketing and the Head of Growth to develop hypotheses and product experiments from growth opportunities.
  • Design, prioritize, and run A/B tests across the customer journey, from acquisition and enrollment through engagement and renewal.
  • Use experimentation to evaluate messaging, workflows, offers, and experiences to improve conversion and retention.
  • Translate experiment results into product decisions and use learnings to inform future development.
  • Build an experimentation practice in which hypotheses, success metrics, results, and next steps are clearly defined.
  • Partner with Product Design to simplify customer experiences across digital products.
  • Provide final sign-off on customer-facing designs from a product workflow and requirements perspective before implementation.
  • Ensure customer experiences balance customer needs, business objectives, technical considerations, and measurable product outcomes.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative customer insights to identify friction and make experiences simpler, clearer, and easier to act on.
  • Align stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Customer Care, Analytics, Design, and Engineering around product priorities and decisions.
  • Bring clear recommendations to cross-functional conversations and drive decisions forward.
  • Translate business objectives and customer problems into product requirements, user stories, workflows, and success metrics.
  • Partner with Engineering throughout the software development lifecycle and manage delivery through the Agile process.
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, tradeoffs, performance, and recommendations to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Own the product area independently while maintaining alignment across teams contributing to the customer experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in retail energy, utilities, or another subscription or recurring-billing business managing ongoing customer relationships, such as software as a service, telecommunications, insurance, or financial technology.
  • Background in Product Marketing or Go-to-Market before moving into Product Management.
  • Exposure to customer lifecycle analytics, including churn, customer lifetime value, segmentation, and retention cohorts.
  • Experience using SQL and data tools such as Databricks, Tableau, Google Analytics, or FullStory.
  • Familiarity with experimentation platforms and Figma.
  • Experience conducting user interviews and combining qualitative customer feedback with quantitative data to inform product decisions.
