Boyle Mechanical Solutions is looking for a General Manager to manage all firsthand operational aspects of the company. The General Manager will assists the President in the successful growth of the company, provide leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure the company has the proper operational controls, administrative support, reporting procedures, and people systems in place to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The General Manager will direct the activities of the team to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and to the customer’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day leadership and management to all staff.
- Collaborating with the President to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the objectives of the company.
- Leads the development and execution of an annual operating plan that fully supports the company’s strategic plan and annual budget.
- Motivating and leading a high-performance team; attracting, recruiting, and retaining members of the team to grow the business and diversity.
- Directs and manages all staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; and enforcing processes, policies, and procedures.
- Hiring, training, developing, and appraising staff effectively; taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policies.
- Support human capital by ensuring all HR and related functions are properly performed.
- Oversees the strategic and tactical plans that provide the direction and focus needed to achieve business objectives, including employee safety and quality.
- Manages the RFP’s and customer inquiries and/or feedback.
- Representing the business with customers, and business partners.
- Ensure that company has the proper controls, administrative and reporting procedures to meet operational and financial targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Operations Management, or 10 - 15 years related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experienced people leader in HVAC, plumbing and refrigeration.
- Union and Collective Bargaining Agreement experience.
- Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards with the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Must be able to work independently, initiative-taking organized with attention to details.
- Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
- Trustworthy with willingness to share information and to serve as a mentor to the whole staff.
- Excellent computer skills experienced in Microsoft Office, proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP systems.
- Ability to respond effectively to the customer inquiries or complaints regarding their projects.
