Senior Security Specialist
About the job
- A high school degree or equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license for the state of employment.
- Must meet state or local licensure and other requirements for the position.
- Must be able to multitask, respond quickly, and remain calm during crisis situations.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and remain composed in a fast-paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks independently within established times.
- Must be capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing patrols and other routines.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to operate technology systems with minimal direction after training.
- Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
- Must be able to be trained in and act on de-escalation tactics.
- Must be able to safely conduct frequent internal and external patrols throughout the shift.
- Must be able to respond quickly and safely to security incidents throughout the property, including stairwells, rooftops, the truck yard, mezzanine, areas on or near automation and technology, and trailers.
- Support a safe and secure work environment at a Target supply chain facility through best practices and physical security program execution.
- Operate Target-owned vehicles to perform yard and perimeter patrol routines.
- Follow emergency procedures and protocols, including notifying building leadership of incidents.
- Follow best practices and procedures for truck gate operations and visitor management.
- Prior experience is preferred but not required.
